Welcome to Kenmore Pines… the official Kenmore Pines.

For the past several months, I have been blogging over at Kenmore Pines 1, learning how the world of blogging works. Now that I’ve had a little experience, I’m excited to announce the beginning of a new blog – an official Kenmore Pines.

Here’s a bit of what you can expect to be seeing on this blog:

History:

I love reading a voracious amount of historical documents, narratives, autobiographies, and memoirs. As I read, I come across amazing tidbits of history perhaps forgotten to the general public. Here on the blog, I hope to tell a bit about these forgotten historic facts. So swing by for some amazing bits of history on the first Friday of each month.

Writing:

It’s no secret that I love writing – any kind of writing. This will mostly be short stories (in the historic fiction genre), but I enjoy penning poetry as well. Also I’ll share writing tips for beginners and even some prompts to spark your writing. So check out the blog on the second Friday of each month for a Writing post.

Sewing:

I certainly don’t have a claim to fame in the sewing sphere, but I’m an eager learner. My hope is that by sharing my sewing projects here on the blog I can inspire others, as well as myself, to learn more about sewing. I mostly enjoying working on little, historically-inspired projects, but I do other sewing-related jobs as well. Come on by for a Sewing post on the third Friday of each month.

Books:

Yes, I read! (Who would have guessed it?) When I finish a book, I want to share about it. If it’s good, folks should read it; if it’s bad, I want to let people know so they don’t waste their time on a bad read. Book reviews, reading lists, and book releases all in this category! Welcome to the blog, my fellow bookworms! You can find a new Book post on the fourth Friday of each month.

Goodies:

Some months have extra Fridays tossed in there, so I’m planning to use this treasured bit of opportunity to do some extra posts – fun stuff like interviews, extra story snippets, and maybe even a little giveaway. If that sounds like fun, stop by on the fifth Friday of the month… assuming the month has five Fridays.
